The SL1200 MKII Turntable is available in a variety of colours, but I opted to render it in its original silver-grey hue. To add a touch of nostalgia and pay homage to the DJing era, I deviated from the original specs by incorporating another iconic element - the Ortofon Concorde DJ needle, which I textured in a vibrant red.

For this project, I harnessed the power of RenderMan, Substance 3D Painter, and Photoshop to infuse realism into every detail. My goal was to capture the essence of a well-used turntable, complete with greasy fingerprints and weathered texturing. The lighting setup was also crucial; designed to evoke the ambiance of a lively club, immersing viewers in the sensation of having the DJ right there in the room with them.
